I’ve had this drill about a month and enjoy it. I upgraded from an old 9v makita and it’s a huge upgrade.
Most of the drills in this price shoothing range are high quality tools and the makita’s got all the torque, speed, control of a good quality cordless. What i enjoy about this drill is the lithium-ion battery. not only is lithium-ion a intensive environmentally friendly battery than nimh or nicad but they hold their power longer. This means the person who use a drill periodically (opposed to a diurnal use contractor type) will find their drill still charged and ready to use after sitting in the closet for 2 weeks. And, the batteries really take up price as fast as they guess they take up.
I also conform with others who wound up liking the short distance led illuminate that points in the direction of what you’re doing. Makita BDF452HW seemed silly in the direction of first but when you’re under a desk or in the back of a cabinet there’s no need to drag a illuminate with you, which is nice.
